This 2021 has been a record year speaking in terms of contracted area nationwide. Logistics investment has increased by 77% compared to last year, starring in some of the largest transactions that have been carried out during 2021.

The future of the purchase of industrial buildings in Spain

Future forecasts are positive for this 2022 where it is expected that the sector will continue to grow due to the momentum of segments such as supermarkets or fashion.

Some of the main reasons that reinforce this vision are the high liquidity and financing in the market for all types of logistics projects and the increase in prices caused by the good rate of growth in demand.

But, on the other hand, experts already speak of a reality: the lack of industrial land and the problems presented by already built industrial warehouses that require adaptation to new market demands.

Currently both the central zone of Spain and Catalonia stand out among other relevant logistics markets in the country such as Valencia or Zaragoza.

Our team of professionals is highly qualified and specialized in the purchase of industrial assets. For this reason, one of our latest operations has been the acquisition of a logistics plot of 16,646 m2 in Catalonia, specifically in Hospitalet de Llobregat, the first crown of Barcelona.

The project consists of the demolition of the existing industrial buildings and the segregation into two plots. In one of them, the construction of three independent logistics warehouses will be carried out that will have the BREEAM Good certification, which will guarantee their sustainability.
