History
The origins of Renta Corporación date back to 1991, when a small group of young professionals, led by Luis Hernández de Cabanyes, now the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Renta Corporación, founded a company in Barcelona specialising in buying and selling parking spaces.
The business of Renta Corporación has since undergone strong, steady growth as a result of an investment strategy that has gradually extended the type of properties acquired, their average size and geographical distribution.
The growth of the group has led to the development of three major lines of business on which current activities are focused: Residential transformation, Office Transformation and Land Development. In turn, the group has developed its geographical cover by setting up subsidiaries operating in Paris (2002), London (2004), Berlin (2005) and New York (2007).
The corporate name of the group has evolved with the business. The Renta Corporación name was adopted in 2004 to bring together the new business units and deal with a new period of expansion and growth.
