History
In 1991, Lueco S.A. was set up as a company specialising in buying and selling parking spaces in Barcelona. It was the precursor of what would later become the Renta Corporación group.
In 1995, the company started up a second line of business by founding Second House, a company dealing in the sale, acquisition and brokerage of second homes in the Barcelona area. After a few years, this company began to specialise in luxury homes in the city of Barcelona.
The development of these two lines of business led to the creation of Ronta S.L., dedicated to the acquisition and refurbishment of residential buildings in Barcelona. In 1997, Renta Antigua was created, in the same line of business, extending the residential refurbishment business from Barcelona to other cities between 1997 and 2000, with offices in Madrid, Seville, Malaga and Palma de Mallorca, as well as occasional operations in other markets.
In 2000, the Corporación Renta Antigua Group was set up, led by Corporación Renta Antigua, S.A. and consisting of Renta Antigua, S.A. and Ronta, S.L. (both specialising in the acquisition and refurbishment of residential buildings), Second House, S.L. (specialising in the sale of luxury homes and Sun Place, S.A. (specialising in land development).
The Group has been operating since 2004 under the name and brand of Renta Corporación.
The parent company, which is currently quoted on the Barcelona and Madrid stock exchanges, adopted the legal entity name of Renta Corporación Real Estate, S.A.
